Paastreffen 2006
14th - 17th of April 2006
The 'Paastreffen' ( Easter meeting ) is one of the bigger meetings of recumbent cyclists in The Netherlands. This year it was already the seventh time it was organised. About eighty cyclists from all over the country (and a few from abroad) came to the event.
Henk and I met at about 9.00 near my appartment in Delft. Together we cycled to camping 'Harskamperdennen'. It's located in the area called 'Veluwe'.
After our arrival at camping 'Harskamperdennen' on Friday evening we set up our tents and Henk cooked a fine dinner.
'Het Aardhuis' was built as a hunting house and a meeting place for army officers. It was owned by the Dutch royal family. Now it's a museum and wildlife park.
Recumbents parked near 'Het Aardhuis'. A part of the group visited the museum and the other part continued the tour.
We stopped for a drink at restaurant 'Het Boshuis' in Drie.
